Wendy Wen Yee YUNG
Corporate Governance advocate and founder of Practising GovernanceWendy Wen Yee YUNG is an advocate for good corporate governance in Hong Kong and founded "Practising Governance" for this cause.
Wendy is also an independent non-executive director of Vitasoy International Limited (listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (HKEX), and a co-opted member of the Hospital Governing Committee of Queen Mary Hospital/Tsan Yuk Hospital. In addition, she is a member of the Listing Review Committee of HKEX.
Prior to founding “Practising Governance”, Wendy was Executive Director and Company Secretary of Hysan Development. Over the years, she had served as a member of the Listing Committee of HKEX, the Standing Committee on Company Law Reform, and (representing HKICPA) the Professional Accountants in Business Committee of the International Federation of Accountants.
First trained as a solicitor, Wendy also qualified as a certified public accountant and a governance practitioner in Hong Kong. She graduated with First Class Honours in Law from Oxford University, United Kingdom.

Dr Yifan Hu
Dr Yifan Hu is the Chief Investment Officer Greater China & Head Macroeconomics Asia Pacific of UBS Global Wealth Management. She is based in Hong Kong, and serves as a member of the CIO Asia and China Investment Committee. Working alongside the investment teams globally and in Asia Pacific, Yifan is helping shape CIO's macroeconomic and investment views on APAC.
Yifan has held several Chief Economist positions since 2007, most recently at Haitong International where she was tasked with leading H-share equity research. Prior to this role, Yifan worked as a Chief Economist at CITIC Securities, China Economist at France's Natixis, and China Strategist at Merrill Lynch. Her views and columns can be found in leading financial media.
Prior to that, Yifan was an Assistant Professor at the School of Business and Economics at the University of Hong Kong and published extensively in the international and Chinese academic journals. Yifan has considerable experiences in research and consulting, and served in various prestigious organizations including the World Bank and The Peterson Institute for International Economics (PIIE) in Washington D.C.

Catherine Yien
Catherine Yien is a Managing Director and the Head of Listing Regulation and Enforcement (LRE) of the Listing Division at Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX). As head of LRE, Catherine leads the team responsible for the frontline regulation of over 2,600 listed issuers in Hong Kong, supporting issuer understanding of and compliance with the Listing Rules. Through ongoing monitoring of compliance work, the LRE team also focuses on non-compliance identification, investigation, disciplinary and enforcement and issuer/market education. Catherine joined HKEX in September 2023 from Rothschild & Co, where she has worked for nearly 28 years, most recently as Managing Director in the firm’s Global Advisory team which specialises in mergers and acquisitions and provision of financial advice. Catherine was a member of the Advisory Committee of the Securities and Futures Commission from 2019 to 2023, and she also served as a member and later Deputy Chairman of the Listing Committee of the Main Board and GEM of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited from 2015 to 2021. Catherine has a BSc in Mathematics and Management from Imperial College, University of London, UK, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Alva Lee
Alva Lee is the President of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Hong Kong Chapter, and a member of the Financial Reporting Review Panel under the Financial Reporting Council. With over 20 years of experience, she currently holds the position of Head of Governance, Risk, and Compliance Services (GRCS) at KPMG Hong Kong. Alva is well-versed in KPMG’s advisory methodologies and has considerable expertise in board advisory services, guiding organizations on their governance structures, conducting corporate governance reviews, and leading board effectiveness assessments. Her leadership extends to the development of KPMG's Board Leadership Centre, where she plays a critical role in advancing governance frameworks.
Alva is a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Certified Internal Auditor. Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Alva effectively communicates across diverse client backgrounds. She regularly hosts training seminars and workshops on corporate governance, ESG, and risk management for senior management and boards throughout Hong Kong and China, providing deep insights into the expectations and needs of key stakeholders concerning good governance.

Fanny Lung is the Chief Financial Officer of Swire Properties Limited, where she holds overall strategic and operational responsibility for the company’s financial operations, investment strategies, risk management, corporate governance, investor relations, digital and sustainable development. In this role, Fanny plays a pivotal part in shaping the financial direction and sustainability initiatives of one of Hong Kong’s leading property developers.
Prior to joining Swire Properties, Fanny was Group Director Finance at Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited. Having joined the Swire group in 1992, Fanny previously held the position of Finance Director at Swire Pacific Offshore Holdings Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Swire Pacific.

Kevin Leung
Kevin Leung is the Investor Relations Director and Company Secretary of China Resources Beer (Holdings) Company Limited. He joined the Company in May 2008. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Leung had worked for international accounting firms in Hong Kong. Mr. Leung has extensive experience in external auditing, finance and accounting, regulatory and compliance as well as investor relations. Mr. Leung holds a degree of Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a degree of Master of Business Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a fellow member of The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Lucy Newcombe
As Chief People and ESG Officer, Lucy Newcombe is responsible for leading Computershare’s People and Communications teams and driving its Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives. Lucy joined Computershare in 2005 as Marketing Director for the EMEA region, was part of its first sustainability committee in 2006, became Corporate Communications Director in 2010, and was appointed Chief People Officer in 2019. She has more than twenty-five years’ experience in communications, marketing and corporate engagement roles across global companies, including time spent living and working in Hong Kong.

Joanne graduated from the University of Hong Kong and is admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong, New South Wales of Australia, New Zealand and England and Wales. She has over 13 years of post-qualification experience in legal and compliance field. She began her career in private legal practice, worked in a number of international firms in Hong Kong and Beijing offices before joining the PCPD.
